Hi there... thanks for stopping by!
Here's what's new...

Time for a Little Longer Break, or...
How I Spent my Spring Vacation

I mentioned in my last post that I'd be back in the studio in March. Well, that didn't happen. Unfortunately, I broke a couple of bones in my foot this winter. Since I need to let them heal, I decided to go ahead and have an unrelated surgery on that same foot moved up to this spring so I can just let everything heal at the same time. So there won't be any glassblowing for me till fall.   :-(

Life for time being: a lot of icing, elevating, laptopping, and not leaving the recliner much. (Sigh.)

Time for a Little Break

The studio is now shut down for our annual winter break. So there's no more glassblowing till March. (Sigh.) The last thing I was experimenting with before shutting down was the multi-colored vase with the clear, square bottom shown here. I'll be playing around with those a little more in the spring.

We will also have more "Blow Your Own" workshops at the studio in the spring. Visit the studio website or Facebook page (see below) for more info regarding studio workshops.

Happy New Year and thanks for your interest in my glass work.

Studio Website

I have put up a website for our new studio. You can visit it at GRglassblowing.com. Another way to keep in touch with studio happenings is via our Facebook page. Be sure to "like" us so you'll find out about workshops and other events as we announce them.

West Michigan Artists Feature

Have you seen the blog about artists from West Michigan? It features interviews with visual artists from right here in western Michigan. There is now a piece about me and my glassblowing on their site. Click here to take a look.
Diane Zoellmer and Julie Myrmel are doing a great job with this blog. In addition, Diane and Julie are available to help artists develop an online presence. Contact them for more info by clicking here.

Keep in touch

If you'd like to be on my email list, just click here to send me a note saying so. I'll keep you posted on shows, events, new work and any events, workshops or open houses at the studio. And I won't give your email address to anyone for any reason. Thanks!

Purchasing glass

Please visit my outlets page to find some galleries that carry my glass. Some folks who aren't near Michigan have been asking if it's possible to purchase some of my work online. Unfortunately, I don't have any way to do that yet. In the meantime, if you see something you're interested in, just let me know. We can work out the shipping and payment.
